Tom Delacroix

22 years in travel and aviation · At Air Support Desk since 2019 · Lyon, France

Second reader on the whole library. He checks claims against sources and has the authority to hold a guide back from publication.

Biography

Background

Tom has spent most of his working life as a fact checker, first in daily news and later in specialist publishing. He joined Air Support Desk to build the review layer that sits between a finished draft and a published guide.

He does not write the guides he reviews, which is deliberate. His job is to work backwards from each claim to the source that supports it, and to remove anything that cannot survive that walk.

He also owns the corrections log, including the ones that are our own fault.

Editorial principles

  • The reviewer works from the claim back to the source, never the other way round.
  • A correction is published with a date and a description, never made silently.
  • If publication would require a guess, the guide waits.

Research methods
